As a Weld Inspector, you play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of the welded components in our structures.
Position Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough inspections of all welded assemblies, materials and finished products
• Monitor welding processes for compliance with approved shop drawings, welding procedures, and codes
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all inspections and non-conformance reports.
• Verify the quality of the welding materials
• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing of welds as required
• Fully comply with all company safe work practices and
• Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certificate preferred
• CWB experience a plus
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• 2+ years experience as a weld inspector
• Familiar with: SMAW, SAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW welding processes
• Attention to detail
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Ability to pass a background check
• Valid drivers license
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to frequently push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in extremely hot or cold environments
• Must be able to work in extremely dusty environments
• Must be able to work in extremely noisy environments
• Must be able to work in environments with dangerous and/or objectionable fumes with exposure to fumes from metals, gases, welding processes and galvanized material.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
