We are seeking people-oriented individuals looking to start a career in retail.Duties and Responsibilities• Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service by greeting our customers as they enter the store• Thank every customer in a sincere voice• Aid in maintaining a clean, organized and customer friendly environment in and outside of the store (sweeping, mopping, stocking, dusting, emptying trash, etc.)• Operate a cash register and correctly make change• Maintain a positive store image by dressing and grooming according to the company's dress code standards• Work in the walk-in cooler• Sell alcoholic beverages; refuse to sell alcoholic beverages to customers during restricted hours or to those who are intoxicated or underage• Perform electronic ordering• Be aware of merchandise sales and promotions• Maintain proper food handling techniques for sanitation and spoilage control, including proper coding and rotation of food products• Preparing and displaying all food service products as required• Complete all job assignments and a variety of in-store paperwork• Other "odd" jobs which make 7-Eleven an enjoyable place to shopQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkersDesire to be part of a results-oriented team.Physical RequirementsThis position requires constant standing, walking with occasional stooping, reaching, kneeling and crouching / squatting.
