You'll be responsible for handling the transactional finance activities, CIS payments as well as month end tasks including accruals, prepayments, VAT returns, cashflow management and budgeting. Responsibilities a...s a Assistant Management Accountant:Working closely with the Finance Director, you'll be responsible for running the finances for one of the subsidiaries and assisting in group wide accounting as and when required.Management of the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Notes, Bank Reconciliation and Account ReconciliationMaintaining Purchase Order numbers and approval proceduresPreparing supplier payments and authorising transactionsHandling supplier and subcontractor payments, including reconciliationEnsuring accuracy in supplier and subcontractor statementsResponsible for the creation of sales invoices, credit notes, and customer communicationDaily cash posting and effective resolution of sales queries.Providing support across various finance department functionsLiaising with suppliers, customers, subcontractors, and internal teamsManaging CIS deductions, HMRC returns, journals, accruals, prepayments, retention journals, VAT returns, and month-end processes.Assisting in the management of cashflow and budgeting Requirements:Experience as a Senior Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Management Accountant or AccountantCIS expertise, proficiency in Xero, Excel is essentialQBE or part qualified in AAT, CIMA or ACCAStrong communication, exceptional task prioritisation, and organisational skillsA positive, team-oriented attitude with acute attention to detailRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
