Summary
We are seeking a Senior Medical Technologist with strong leadership abilities and extensive experience in clinical laboratory analysis. This part-time position at Canton Potsdam Hospital offers the opportunity to provide high quality diagnostic services through accurate performance of clinical laboratory analysis and examination.
Responsibilities
• Perform specialized diagnostic procedures and accurately prepare reagents
• Interpret and correlate clinical test results and communicate stat and critical lab results
• Maintain knowledge of required computer functions and assist in completing testing and workflow management
• Assist in training new employees and act as a technical consultant to others in the department
Requirements
• Six (6) or more years of experience as a medical technologist
• BS in Medical Technology or related Science; New York State Department of Education License or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• Previous experience in a laboratory supervisory or leadership position preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education and Physical Requirements
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, frequent walking, standing or squatting
Pay Range
$41.00 - $45.50 per hour, with potential for additional pay components
