In Ethiopia it operates in both rural and urban projects in different parts of the country.
SC/US Ethiopia Country office has an opening for a position of Accountant for Gambela Office and invites qualified candidates to apply.
Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible to ensure that all finance undertakings are done as per the finance policy, HR. Admin policy and procedures. The position holder is expected to review all bank payment requests for completeness in control, policies and procedures aspects and source of finding. S/he will prepare cash disbursement voucher for all completed cash request, fill the form with proper codes and other required information, attach all the necessary documents, submit the completed documents to the impact area finance and administration coordinator for verification and checking, follow up approval and prepare checks or wire transfer requests as the case. S/he will make sure that all payments are processed and handled over the payee or the person who requested on time. S/he will be responsible for preparation of staff payroll in consultation with Finance and Administration Coordinator. The position holder is responsible for coaching and supervising the cahier to accomplish the assigned duties and to take more responsibility.
