Job Description:
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Telephone & Reception Desk Responsibilities:
• Employ effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Greet visitors/answer telephones, determine customer needs, and direct calls/visitors to appropriate office professional.
• Schedule appointments for office professionals
• Develop problem-solving techniques and learn resources for assisting students, faculty, and office visitors.
• Increase knowledge of departmental services including learning about assistive technology
2. Assist Program Coordinator as needed:
• Interface with students to arrange for testing accommodations, including scheduling, and proctoring of tests.
• Compose written exam reminders, disseminate via e-mail, and track professors responses to assure accurate testing administration.
• Assist with supervision of exam administration, assuring test security, and adherence with all testing protocols.
• Securely package completed exams for return to professors.
• Assist Director and Assistant Director as needed.
• Prepare materials and represent the DRC at outreach events.
• Transport materials to event sites, set up displays and materials for events.
• Research and compile basic information needed for office operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Legible handwriting (Please do not write in all caps)
• Strong Organizational skills attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft word and Excel
• Strong numerical ability
• Good listening and communication skills
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
• Display honesty and integrity
• Must have received a B grade or better in ENC1101 or ENC 1102
• Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
