Mopani Copper Mines Plc has operations in Mufulira and Kitwe on the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Company seeks the services of Leading Hand X 1
The successful candidates will be responsible for inspecting and repairing the main rail lines in and outside the plant area
The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to the following:
Check rail tracks and make necessary adjustments accordingly.
Report any serious defects to the Supervisor
Assist Tracklayers in laying of sleepers rails. and Servicing of turnouts.
Remove and replace rusty and loose bolts with new ones on rail tracks
Cut and drill holes using the rail cutter and drilling machine during maintenance.
Carry out minor repairs on the surface main rail lines.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in Mining Industry.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
