Job Description:
DBM Contracting (Ottawa) Inc., an experienced company in the construction industry, is seeking a General Labourer to join our team on an active construction site in Brockville. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in construction while working on exciting and impactful projects.
As a General Labourer, you will be an essential part of the team, helping to ensure the smooth operation of our job sites, assisting skilled tradespeople, and supporting various construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and clean-up of construction sites.
Load and unload materials and equipment.
Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment.
Perform site maintenance duties, including waste disposal and debris removal.
Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians) as needed.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or manual labour is an asset, but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required).
