Take and respond to a high volume of phone calls, screen inquiries, take messages, schedule appointments, and answer questions requiring an understanding of policies and procedures of the Department and/or Division. Type a variety of material from rough drafts, marginal notes, and verbal instructions. Perform varied clerical work including typing, proofreading, filing, verifying, and posting information on records. Pick up, sort, and distribute departmental mail. Verify, compile, and record statistical and narrative information for the preparation of reports and records. Prepare correspondence, record, and report based on data obtained from a variety of sources.
