West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department
of Community Practice seek a Primary Care Physician (ranks
available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor).
The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Fairmont,
WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice primary care
medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the
successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching
medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign
equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful
candidate must have completed a family medicine, internal medicine,
or med-peds residency program. Successful candidates must be board
certified/eligible in family medicine, internal medicine or
med-peds . All qualifications must be met by the time of
appointment.
WVU Medicine’s Fairmont Gateway Clinic includes primary, urgent
care, and 11 specialty clinics. The clinic includes 50 exam rooms
and four procedure rooms. Lab and diagnostic services are also
provided. Emergency and inpatient care are available at Fairmont
Medical Center.
The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia’s
