Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for assisting at live events with The Villages and exhibiting a flexible, energetic, and patient demeanor while being a passionate “people person”. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
Part Time, On Site Position
Responsibilities
• Ensure a safe, relaxed, pleasant experience for the audience and performers.
• Coordinate with the entertainment and production company, if necessary.
• Ensure availability of programs/playbills and be available to distribute prior to the performance.
• Perform a “walk-through” of the dressing rooms, green room and theater to verify the cleanliness and presentability for the performers and audience (before, in-between every performance and after the performance).
• Ensure that any signs or notices relevant to a particular performance (ex. “no flash photography”) are in place and communicated to volunteer ushers.
• Participate in location maintenance such as cleaning counters, stocking/dispensing, and commonly used items.
• Keep up to date and educated on all promotional material and ongoing events.
• Do not leave until the green rooms/dressing rooms are completely cleaned after the show and talent/artist has vacated the building.
• Set up merchandise sales when requested by performers.
• All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have departmental software computer knowledge (based on department employed by with a minimum of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Must be able to problem solve in stressful situations with performers, patrons and team members.
• Must maintain flexibility in hours/shifts and responsibilities and be available for on-call duties as needed.
• This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business. Please refer to the Vehicle Safety Program for the policies and procedures that this position is required to follow.
• A Valid Driver’s License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position.
