We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a dynamic telecommunications company based in Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to play a key role in managing financial records, overseeing customer and supplier invoicing, and assisting with financial audits.
The role will start as a remote position and transition to an office-based role within the next couple of months as the company establishes its new Johannesburg office. To ensure you are fully integrated with the global team, you will undergo a two-week training session in Spain, with all travel costs covered by the company.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial management, particularly in financial recording, bank reconciliation, VAT preparation, and handling customer and supplier invoices. Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Recording: Manage and document financial transactions accurately.
• Bank Reconciliation: Handle monthly bank statements and prepare VAT documentation.
• Customer and Supplier Management: Oversee invoicing, communication, and discrepancy resolution with clients and vendors.
• Excel Proficiency: Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial reporting.
• ERP Systems: Basic knowledge of ERP platforms (experience with Odoo is a plus).
