Job Description
The Office Catering Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient preparation, setup, delivery, and cleanup of catering services within an office environment. This role supports the smooth operation of daily office catering needs while maintaining high standards of hygiene, organization, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Hygiene and Safety:
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of catering equipment and kitchenettes, adhering to food safety regulations, and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Regularly clean and sanitize serving equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Monitor food storage conditions and expiry dates, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Inventory Management:
• Monitor stock levels of catering supplies (e.g., coffee, tea, utensils, snacks) and reorder as needed.
• Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring items are easily accessible and well-stocked.
Customer Service:
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to office staff and guests during events and meetings.
• Deliver service standards ensuring trolley service times are maintained throughout the day.
• Handle feedback and communicate suggestions for service improvements to management.
This is a Monday to Friday role based at our Shirebrook HQ
This is an hourly paid role at 11.44
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Friendly and approachable at all levels
• Previous experience in a similar role and prior knowledge of food hygiene and safety is desirable
