Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Senior Credit Administrator position to join the team at our Credit Administration department. The Senior Credit Administrator position will deliver a World Class Experience by providing a high level of expertise and knowledge in the lifecycle of credit extensions to support the loan production and credit quality objectives of the Bank. Working with the Deputy Chief Credit Officer, this person will facilitate the coordination of Credit Administration functions and management of problem loans and special assets. The Senior Credit Administrator interfaces with all lending areas of the bank as well as external auditors and consultants, regulatory examiners and auditors, third party providers, and customers; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities to meet customer service standards with varying workloads.
Minimum Requirements, Activities & Responsibilities
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; or a demonstrated expertise based on commensurate years of experience
• Minimum of seven to ten years of commercial business and commercial real estate credit experience required
• Experience in developing policies and procedures required
• An emphasis in credit portfolio management and analytics preferred
• Previous supervisory experience or leadership role preferred
Essential Functions:
• Provides approval for credit policy exceptions within designated authority
• Collaborates with lending officers during credit evaluation process regarding appropriate analysis needed, risk management measures, and overall deal structure
• Manages problem asset process to minimize losses, controlling delinquencies, and net loan losses
• Identify, manage, and perform commercial and real estate loan desk top reviews
• Coordinates legal action taken with external counsel
• Other duties as assigned
Skills and Capabilities:
• Strong mathematics skills with working knowledge of statistical analysis
• Knowledge of systems, including ITI, and lending platforms such as Baker Hill's NextGen and Numerated
