Land Development Manager/Site Superintendent – Horizontal/Dirt Work Specialist

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for someone with solid site development experience, particularly in managing horizontal elements from start to finish. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a proven track record in wetland management and bilingual communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all horizontal aspects of site construction, including roads, parking lots, asphalt, side grading, and utilities.
  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, offsets, inverts, and elevations.
  • Conduct and supervise all site preparation activities, ensuring survey accuracy and coordinating with earthwork subcontractors.
  • Manage labor, materials, and maintain on-site safety standards.
  • Ensure wetland areas on-site are properly managed and remain contamination-free.

Qualifications:


  • Experience: 5-10 years in horizontal site development, specifically in "dirt work" (no vertical construction).
  • Skills:

    • Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and transits.
    • Experienced in verifying elevations, offsets, and inverts.

  • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish required and Portuguese is a bonus)
  • Certification: OSHA certified.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Wetlands experience is essential.
