Payroll Specialist Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage our bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or benefits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax filings.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and accurate information.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, including summaries of payroll expenses and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure payroll data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.
Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably within the construction or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paycom).
- Thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
