Summary

Here is a high-end architectural millwork manufacturing company looking for a Director of Operations. The right person will ensure employee safety, product quality, labor cost effectiveness, defect-free manufacturing, and timeliness of product delivery performance. Develop good relationships between associates and inspire with "best practices" working environment, highly enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible. Lead continuous improvement, process development, and modernization of manufacturing principles through data analysis, recommendation, and while providing benefits of changes.

Responsibilities

1. Coach, provide technical expertise, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives, and ensure adequate staffing levels, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues, and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity.
2. Effectively manage the production & delivery of all daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, while providing cost effectiveness and ensuring the best practices are always maintained.
3. Communicate and liaise with other lead stakeholders, provide continuous development, process improvement, and production metrics monitoring.
4. Create and implement manufacturing metrics, workflows, and procedures that will achieve maximum organizational efficiencies.
5. Ensure plant's operational standards are met, in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and protocols.
6. Regularly communicate with the CEO on the manufacturing group’s performance.
7. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
