The Clinical Coordinator for Pulmonary will be responsible for:
- Planning, organizing and overseeing the daily clinical and administrative operations of designated unit/program/service.
- Preparing staff schedules, requests and allocates resources and facilitates coordination of care/services to meet patient care and operations requirements.
- Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost effectiveness of patient care.
- Selecting, supervising and evaluating nursing and clinical support personnel and developing and providing staff education/development programs.
- Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects.
- Acting as reporting manager to ~16 staff of RNs and Clinical Assistants.
The Pulmonary Department at Boston Children's Hospital is consistently rated in the top 5 by US News and World Report. We are a MAGNET facility that had over 168,000 visits to our Pulmonary Division in 2024. Common conditions among our patient population include: Cystic Fibrosis, asthma, BPD, sleep apnea.
To qualify, you must have:
- BSN required.
- MSN preferred.
- MA RN license required.
- 4-5 years of RN experience required.
- Leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in Pulmonary preferred but not required.
- This position may be 5-8s or 4-10 hour shifts/week.
