Director of Finance – Job Description

Responsibilities for Director of Finance:

1. Create and develop key financial models, including customer profitability analysis.
2. Plan for cash spends on different projects.
3. Comply with all audits and company policies.
4. Create company-wide budgets for a fiscal year.
5. Adhere to laws and regulations.
6. Create presentations for key executives.
7. Create company policies for great financial health.
8. Manage company cash flows with a focus on our 13-week cash flow model.
9. Report on and manage the company’s A/R and collections efforts.
10. Manage the company’s insurance policies.
11. Work with the accounting department to produce accurate monthly financial statements by the 10th of each following month.
12. Oversee and manage the other two members of the accounting team – A/R and A/P.
13. Effectively maintain all financial records.

Qualifications for Director of Finance:

1. Strong background in accounting.
2. Knowledge of financial forecasting.
3. Detail and results-oriented.
4. Leadership and business acumen.
5. Expert level problem solver and analytical.
6. Ability to take complex data and find the key metrics.
7. Desire to learn and grow in the role.
8. Experience managing a company's cash flow.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
11. 5+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
