Qualifications
Note: Direct robotics or automation experience is a must-have.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. (Advanced degrees are a plus.)
Wiring and integration of data acquisition systems for acquiring and logging high-speed sensor data.
Signal processing of robotic sensor systems for sampling, filtering, and transformation of inputs.
Designing efficient power distribution for a wide range of hardware.
Ability to design electrical control boxes for motion control applications.
Ability to design cable harnesses and enclosures, including thermal analysis.
Desired proficiency in programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages for data analysis and automation.
Experience with Development Libraries like PyDAQmx, PyVISA, and SciPy in order to interface with hardware and perform data analysis. Experience with Python's scripting capabilities for rapid prototyping and modification of code as requirements evolve.
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with sensor technologies, data acquisition hardware, and software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong documentation skills for processes and findings.
Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
