Company & Position Overview:
Our client, a global private equity firm specialized in private markets investment management is looking to bring on a new Senior Product Controller for one of their expanding product control teams based out of the Greater Denver, CO office.
This role is integral to overseeing private equity funds, large focus on U.S.-based Private Wealth products, as part of the quantitative risk management unit.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee and approve Net Asset Values (NAV) and financial statements, ensuring consistency and accuracy through review and monitoring of portfolio performance.
- Manage and enhance private markets models and systems for broader usage, supporting data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.), coordinating closely with relevant teams to meet SEC and other regulatory standards.
- Coordinate workflows with external partners (auditors, fund administrators, custodians), reviewing key deliverables and resolving issues as needed.
- Act as a primary subject matter expert on assigned products, handling operations, accounting, reporting, hedging, valuations, new product onboarding, and oversight of third-party service providers.
- Cultivate strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve effective results.
What They’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA, CA, or ACCA designation strongly preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in regulatory filings, financial control, or audit, with private equity, financial services, private markets fund accounting or financial reporting experience
- Proficiency with VBA, SQL, or Python is desired and advanced Excel skills is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive, adaptable work approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an interest in supporting firm growth and success.
