Skills
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Computer skills for pharmacy systems operations.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance.
• Model customer service best practices with team members.
• Perform tasks assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist.
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
• Handle cash register operations and customer transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the Pharmacy Department.
Qualifications
• Requires a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
Education Requirements
Must earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state-required certification/registration.
Education Requirements Credential Category
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.
Experience Requirements
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Experience in pharmacy-related tasks is advantageous.
