Lokahi Property Maintenance, llc is a small family owned landscape & grounds maintenance company based in Waianae, HI. We specialize in full service landscape grounds maintenance to Home Owner Associations, Commercial businesses, Military bases and residential customers.
We are looking for a strong, experienced, and reliable hardworking individual to join our hard working hammah team. Must have experience working in all types of weather environments.
Position: Driver & Landscape Maintenance Crew Member
We are looking for a part-time grounds maintenance crew member & driver to join our team! The Landscaper position is directly responsible for the hands-on beautification of client properties - both commercial and residential. Tasks involved include driving our equipment truck, lawn maintenance, strong hedging skills, weeding, installation and caring for a variety of plants. Applicants should be hard-working, team-oriented and willing to learn. We maintain a small crew; all applicants should be ready to keep up with the high-paced demands of a busy landscaping company. Team member must be able to pass a background check in order to have access to our military job sites.
Schedule varies Monday - Friday with some weekends. Starting at 7:30AM 80% of jobs are located on the westside.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant must meet all of the following requirements.
• 2 years of landscape / grounds maintenance experience
• Experience with Hedging is a must.
• Able to work outside in direct sun for long periods of time.
• Teachable and willing to learn
• Able to lift 60 lbs or more
• Have experience with all landscaping tools
• Able to safely operate machinery (as instructed by management)
• Must be able to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust, noise, and weather conditions.
• You must be at least 18 years old, reliable, and have the ability to work safely.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check is required
• Reliable transportation to get to work site.
• Maintains a valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract
• References will be requested.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
