Full Job Description:
Swanson Family Construction is looking for experienced and motivated Lead Framers and Exterior Specialists with a passion for leadership and team development to join our growing company. In this role, you'll not only oversee framing, siding, and exterior tasks, but also take on leadership responsibilities to guide and grow teams. You'll play a critical role in the construction of new homes, remodeling projects, and more, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities: Perform and lead framing for residential construction, remodeling, and basement egresses. Oversee and participate in the installation and repair of siding, windows, soffits, capping, roofing, and flashing. Read and lay out from blueprints, ensuring accurate measurements and alignment. Execute minor masonry work as needed for projects. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of skilled carpenters, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Work comfortably at heights and lift up to 75 lbs. Ensure project completion within deadlines, maintaining high safety and quality standards. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Work in various weather conditions and adapt to loud or busy job sites.
Ideal Candidate Should Possess: Experience : Minimum 5+ years in framing and exterior work, with a strong understanding of residential construction principles. Leadership : Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with a focus on fostering growth and collaboration. Technical Skills: Expertise in roofing, flashing, masonry, siding, soffits, and window installation. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for layout and installation. Physical Requirements : Comfortable working at heights, capable of lifting 75 lbs, and able to work in all weather conditions. Problem-Solving Skills: Adapt to challenges on-site and resolve issues efficiently. Communication: Strong communication skills; fluency in English is essential. Teamwork: Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on leading others and maintaining smooth workflow.

Schedule: Full Time Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs.
