Position- Head of Procurement
Exp- 10+ years
Location- Ghaziabad(UP)
Head of Procurement will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement functions within our organization. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, and procurement operations to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for our recycling operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing within the recycling or manufacturing sectors, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of optimizing supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier diversification.
• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials and supplies while minimizing excess inventory. Implement inventory control measures and conduct regular audits.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring that expenditures are within financial limits. Analyze financial reports and procurement metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Assess and manage risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions and market fluctuations.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies. Use this knowledge to make informed decisions and recommendations for procurement strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, finance, and logistics, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,
• Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the recycling or manufacturing industries.
