Position Overview
The overall responsibility of the Recruiter is sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, recommending placement and extending offer by using creative internal and external sourcing methods. The Recruiter works externally to promote the FREE network as an employer of choice and partners internally with the hiring programs/departments to seek out applicants with the right combination of experience, education, skills and abilities to fill a particular position.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
• Responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process
• Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates
• Sources and posts jobs on recruitment platforms and identifies new resources as needed
• Screens resumes and interviews candidates. Recommends qualified candidates for consideration
• Manages candidate activity using the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Processes Initial Employment Authorization, prepares offer letters and extends employment offers. Communicates acceptance/rejection of offer to hiring manager
• Develops and maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of staffing goals
• Responsible for the transition of new hires from the ATS to the HRIS
• Assists with New Hire Orientation
• Tracks and keeps records of recruitment activity, provides weekly reports to supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities
• Always communicate in a respectful manner with all people including the people we support, supervisors, other valued team members, and members of the community
• Visits programs and department locations, meets with managers to get an understanding of the setting, individuals served and the general needs of the program/department
• Develops and maintains relationships with potential sources of qualified candidates
• Works with college, high school and vocational staff to promote interest among students. Participates in career-related events such as panel discussions, mock interviews and others
• Assist with developing advertising and marketing programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
• Coordinate, support, attend and participate in all required events/ meetings/ reviews/ committees, including ones outside of standard working hours
• Train Hiring Managers on recruiting, hiring process and use of the ATS
• Assist HR Support team with gathering request documents for auditing purposes
• Covers onboarding process when needed
• Maintain the confidentiality of any information relating to individuals and employees of the organization
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education, Work Experience, and Competencies
• Bachelor's Degree required
• A minimum of two years' of experience in recruiting, human resources, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS and other job-related technology
• Ability and willingness to travel to worksites and recruiting events required
• Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend recruitment events
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to manage multiple competing time-sensitive priorities
• Customer-service orientation with strong desire to meet/exceed hiring managers' needs
• Proven ability to work in an environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential
• Interviewing skills and knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices preferred
• Basic understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment preferred
Physical Demands / Work Environment
• Employee is required to sit, walk and stand for prolonged period of time (at least 8 hours)
• Employee is required to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Employee is required to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
• Employee is required to be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
The Pay Range for this job is $48,000- $51,000 Annually This range is based on what FREE reasonably believesit will pay an employee as for said position at the time of the posting.
