James Grace Local is currently recruiting for an experienced picker / packer to join a warehouse based in Bardon Hill, Coalville.
This is a temporary ongoing position for suitable candidate with warehouse experience.
Candidate will be required to work a fixed 2pm-10pm shift.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, as well as the ability to handle materials efficiently within a warehouse environment.
Duties
• Accurately pack products for shipment, ensuring all items are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
• Perform quality control checks on packed items to ensure they meet company standards.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading deliveries and organising incoming stock.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise packing processes and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as materials handling techniques.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, with physical stamina for standing for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding quality control measures.
• A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a fast-paced environment.
