Job Description:

The Assistant Director of MOSAIC (MCLA Open Arts and Intersectional
Culture) is responsible for collaborating with the MOSAIC Director
on the organization and implementation of creative programming to
enhance and promote MCLA as the regional provider of art and arts
education to the cultural and creative community on campus, in the
region, and globally. The Assistant Director will work closely with
College constituencies and community partners, including local
organizations in Berkshire County and faculty in Fine and
Performing Arts.

1. Create, coordinate, and grow cultural programming and connect
with the surrounding communities.

2. Develop and implement MCLA community and campus arts programming
such as Gallery 51 installations and MOSAIC performances, as well
as other programming.

3. Manage Gallery 51 spaces and staff.

4. Develop, implement, and contribute to the marketing of the
programming for MOSAIC, including print and social media.

5. Maintain the Web and social media presence for MOSAIC
programming and initiatives.

6. Manage budgets and engage in planning for MOSAIC and its
associated programs and activities.

7. Collect information and maintain an active database of sales,
attendance at events, and number of program participants.

Requirements:

1. BA / BS required in a related field from an accredited
institution. Master's degree strongly preferred.

2. Excellent understanding of and experience in Arts
Management.

3. Must has evidence of entrepreneurial thinking and success.

4. Must have prior budget and planning experience in a cultural
organization or small business setting.

5. Grant writing experience with a proven track record of success
in securing grants is desirable.

6. Highly developed organizational skills.

7. Strong interpersonal skills.

8. Ability to work with college academic departments as well as the
surrounding cultural communities.

9. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

10. A minimum of three years of administrative experience required.
Prior experience in managing staff desirable

Additional Information:

This is a full-time benefitted position in the APA union. Annual
salary is $56,000.00
