Responsibilities
This position works in a fast-paced environment and is mainly responsible for scheduling diagnostic testing and complex procedures performed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital’s North and South locations. Team member will be working with their unit to schedule procedures for more than 100+ physicians. The team member is in direct contact with physicians, nurses, other clerical staff and most importantly our patients. Team member is responsible for communicating any potential issues to physicians, their teams as well as others involved in the patient’s care. It is imperative that the team member has excellent organizational skills and can manage time well. Attention to detail is a must as all actions taken on an account must be clearly documented and accurate. Candidates should be proficient in computer use as most work is technology based. They will utilize applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Office and electronic health record applications. Team member is expected to be able to prioritize tasks on a daily basis, adapt to new and changing situations, problem solve, research, analyze and make independent decisions. They handle patient confidential information and will adhere to all HIPAA expectations. Team member will perform all work in accordance to the mission, vision and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma; some college is preferred
Experience: Minimum of 50 wpm. Candidate should have at least one (1) year of job related experience or currently work in the Health Care field. Must have solid written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology or medical terminology will be helpful in this position. Good investigative skills and telephone techniques are needed. Proven organization and time management skills are crucial. Creativity and innovation is highly encouraged.
