Coordinator, FAST Operational Support

DEPARTMENT: Financial Aid Services Team

SUPERVISOR: Supervisor, FAST

STATUS: Non-Exempt - Level 8

WORK SCHEDULE: Generally, 37.5 hours per week with additional work hours as required to meet business needs.

GRANT FUNDED: NA

POSITION SUMMARY: Support all areas of FAST to improve work processes and systems used in FAST. Participate in projects and represent the FAST department in specialty workgroups.
Job Functions
• Support FAST in managing, updating, and programming changes to MS Access systems and databases and provide backup coverage for the Scholarship MS Access system and database.
• Support FAST management team on SIRT/PR and corporate teams. Aid departmental group members in developing solutions to operational problems and inefficiencies. Assist in developing enhancements and resolution of processing problems through project development, testing and implementation stages.
• Support FAST management with specific queries and analysis to understand system information, customer behaviors, daily activities and key performance indicators. Efforts
• provide critical data for strategic considerations.
• Provide troubleshooting & support in daily operations with technical support of user-developed applications; including modifying existing processes to make them more efficient and/or combining similar processes performed by multiple areas within FAST to eliminate redundancy; create/update macros; provide guidance on technical issues that arise with macros, queries, spreadsheets, and other applications.
• Provide audit support by pulling needed data together and meeting with auditors as requested.
• Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

REQUIRED

Experience/Skills and/or years of specific experience:
• Demonstrated initiative, creative problem-solving skills, and self-motivation.
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
• Relevant experience working on project teams, resolving system problems and testing.
• Demonstrated ability to read, analyze and interpret complex technical material.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional skills in operating computers and the Microsoft Office suite including Access.

PREFERRED
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with student grant, loan, and scholarship systems.
