Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
Duties
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and kitchen equipment.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals that delight customers.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Overtime will be available

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.82-£11.30 per hour
