The Position
• Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Patient Advocacy Relations (PAR) Manager for Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia (MSI) to be based at our Kuala Lumpur office. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of Patient Engagement strategies, supporting Therapeutic Area (TA) objectives and Patient Organisation (PO) needs across the lifecycle of medicines.
• We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to work closely with our Head of Market Access and Healthcare Affairs, MSI. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing our Patient Engagement strategies, acting as a representative of Boehringer Ingelheim to the patient community, and helping to enhance our external presence.

Duties and Responsibilities
In your new role, you will:
• Build trusted relationships with key advocacy groups and community leaders by monitoring key activities and publications, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, and attending community-led meetings, conferences, and webinars.
• Manage sponsorships and grants, ensuring they align with our overarching Patient Engagement strategy.
• Generate insights from patients and caregivers to inform all stages of drug development, from pre-clinical to post-launch, in close alignment with the Head of Market Access and Healthcare Affairs.
• Coordinate relationship-building efforts with our network of Patient Engagement colleagues around the region to present a unified face to the customer.
• Support the Head of Market Access and Healthcare Affairs.in developing excellence within our network by sharing initiatives and best practices.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional team to develop creative ideas and lead efforts to promote a patient-centric culture at Boehringer Ingelheim.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding interactions and collaborations with patient organisations, maintaining the highest standards of engagement at all times.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Patient Advocacy, Communications, Cultural Studies, Business, Natural/Social Sciences, Public Health, Medicine, or any other related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience with a multinational company (MNC).
• At least 2 years of direct experience conducting strategic or operational work on PAR/ Healthcare Affairs/ Market Access/ Public Affairs/ Medical Affairs.
• Demonstrable track record of delivering value to the business and successful stakeholder management (patient organisations, payers, policy makers, health care provider).
• High work ethic, a solution-orientated mindset, and excellent interpersonal communication skills, leading with empathy, trust, and respect.
• Proven success in building relationships with the community and co-creating value with patient/caregiver organisations, people with lived experience, and caregivers.
• Strong business acumen, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a solid understanding of how Patient Engagement supports internal decision-making.
• Working knowledge of local pharmaceutical market policies, particularly with respect to patient advocacy.
• Product knowledge across the Human Pharma Business.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with other departments (Medical, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Key Accounts, Sales, Supply Chain and ROPU PAR / external parties (healthcare system stakeholders as required)
• Good command in English (written and spoken) and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good interpersonal, time-management, written and oral communication skills.
