jobs description

Aptos is a people-first blockchain on a mission to help billions of people achieve universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way.

Founded by some of the original creators and maintainers that researched, designed, and built the Diem blockchain to serve this purpose, we have dedicated several years toward this mission. We believe the open-source Diem technology we have developed is an important foundation of a safe and scalable web3 world where everyone has more equitable opportunities to grow and access financial assets with lower fees and fewer intermediaries.

Aptos (Ohlone for "The People") encompasses our mission and ethos for why we build.

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the Petra wallet across web extension, web and mobile platforms. You will be responsible for crafting the product strategy and driving towards execution for a dynamic and central component of the Aptos ecosystem.

This role is a mix of strategy, market research, and entrepreneurship, with an exceptional ability to iteratively drive results. This is an opportunity for someone who is excited by building products that will create innovative solutions for a complex and highly impactful industry. You will be working on a fast-paced, rapidly growing, high-profile project with a significant opportunity for industry-level impact on emerging blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Create a compelling product vision and strategy for Petra that considers industry trends and innovations, user needs, stakeholder input, company priorities, and product data.
  • Identify and prioritize new features, projects, and opportunities to create an exciting and engaging wallet experience for our users.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation through requirements, design, development, testing, go-to-market, and subsequent product iteration.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and legal to deliver high-quality products quickly and efficiently.
  • Define and track key product metrics to measure success and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Communicate product vision, progress, and challenges to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
  • Provide clear direction, set priorities, and manage resources effectively to achieve product goals.

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of product management in consumer fintech, with a focus on payments or investing.
  • Deep understanding of fintech, web3, and DeFi products and ecosystems.
  • Experience leading large-scale consumer products.
  • Experience taking initiatives and products from conception through launch, managing an end-to-end delivery.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives across internal and external teams.
  • Strong ability to interpret research and data to dissect industry trends and create actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record for working well across internal and external teams to influence priorities and drive project execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
