Duration & Type: 6 months Contract with a major pharmaceutical client

Description: The SAP Commercial Business Analyst is responsible for support and oversight of the SAP commercial/sales & distribution function, reporting to the SAP Commercial Lead. With a focus on understanding the business process and translating that into technical requirements, the business analyst will be required to drive both issue resolution and project delivery, including optimization initiatives. This role is will also perform a local SAP architect function, partnering with the Commercial & Sales functions to provide consultancy for system and process improvements whilst ensuring that global template standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with SAP technical teams to define & implement solutions
• Document Functional & Technical Specification documents for technical teams to resolve issues
• Define & implement testing strategies with business users & owners
• Prepare changes for change approval board
• Coordinate SAP AMS contract resource workload; make sure contract resources are working on correctly prioritized issues & changes
• Partner & influence site Commercial / Sales / logistics Leadership in developing strategic application roadmaps
• Solution architecture leadership for regional change requests
• Consult and share ideas for optimization of processes and technology & influence IT & SAP leadership
• Work with SAP & Applications steering team to prioritize changes & through the Demand management process
• Document new requirements & eye for detail and empowered to challenge
• Understand all site SAP issues and impacts relating to Commercial, Sales, & Logistics business functions
• Coordinate SAP support resources & point of escalation for critical issues on site; Escalate, where needed, to leadership teams, both business and technology
• Document issues through the Service Desk process; Resolve the issue and document changes
• Work with other SAP Global Function teams to make sure alignment with other business cross-functional requirements and priorities are captured.
• Work with the PMO to implement enhancement projects. Manage projects through to implementation.
• Work with business and SAP leadership to develop 3 year plans for SAP upgrades & module enhancements – Commercial / Sales / logistics modules
• Work with the business, PMO, and leadership team to plan and implement SAP upgrades
• Train users – provide small group training on existing and new functionality
• Prioritise remote vendor workload and manage complex relationships.
Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience of Commercial/Sales/logistics modules and processes in SAP.
• Technical understanding of ABAP, user exits, BAPIs, and BADIs. Ability to debug code.
• Understand EDI integration support & IDoc and partner profile support
• SAP Configuration and support experience
• Core specialty – Sales & Distribution (SD), LSMW Development and implementation
• Preferred experience – Logistics Execution (LE), Material Management (MM), S&OP processes
• Proficient in SAP SD Order to Cash and Intercompany Sales
• Proficient in Output Determination, Billing, LSMW
• Experience with SAP for a Global pharma business
• Ability to work independently and with others to gather and document business requirements, perform business analysis and develop solutions.
• Develop best practices, operational procedures and design documentation as an SAP Commercial SME.
• In depth knowledge of core Pharma Commercial processes & practices within a regulated business
• Effective Pharma Commercial knowledge transfer to a Global business to facilitate optimization initiatives
• Ability to articulate and influence the strategy and optimization opportunities to all levels
• Strong skills in the areas of communication, delivery on results, self-development, adaptability, flexibility, and global perspective.
• Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and Problem-solving mindset.
• Aility to escalate and bring in resources to resolve the issues in a timely efficient manner.
• Able to work remotely whilst keeping in close communication with the remaining SAP Commercial team
• Self-starter and able to communicate effectively; willingness to learn new module and get involved in areas outside primary role
