Responsibilities:
• Operate the Edger at the production rate or higher
• Monitor and straighten boards on all lumber chains going to and from the Edger
• Unhang boards, strips and clear jams in the Edger, VDA, Block Chipper, and infeed conveyor
• Check boards periodically to ensure saws are not causing defects
• Change saws in the Edger and perform necessary maintenance
• Assist with machine shop repair jobs and support maintenance team
• Collaborate with team members to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Good attendance record and ability to follow directions
• Strong focus on safety
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
