Business - Head of Business Development (VP Level)
We are seeking an experienced VP of Business Development to lead our market expansion and establish strategic partnerships with hyperscalers and AI enterprises. As a key member of the executive team, you will play a critical role in shaping our market presence and driving the company's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the engineering and product marketing team to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to penetrate the hyperscaler and AI enterprise market.
- Identify and engage with potential clients. Establish strong relationships to understand their needs and align our offerings with their requirements.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive business growth and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with the technical team to understand product capabilities and communicate the value proposition effectively to potential clients.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities for the company.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and create new business leads.
- Regularly share market trends, client feedback, and opportunities for business expansion with the cross-functional teams.
- Build and manage a global team of business development, sales, and FAE (field application engineers).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 12+ years in executive-level business development or sales roles within the technology sector, preferably with experience in AI or semiconductor industries.
- 5+ years of experience building and empowering a virtual team of business development and sales managers.
- Extensive knowledge of hyperscaler and AI enterprise market dynamics, and workflows of AI/ML enterprises.
- Strong relationships and contact base with executives in the hyperscaler companies and cloud service platforms.
- Knowledge of enterprise computing software and services pricing strategies, channel economics, and hybrid computing platforms both on-prem and cloud offerings.
- Extensive experience collaborating effectively with global cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds.
- Strong proactivity and curiosity to ramp up in the domain and continuously stay up to date with industry trends.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends and customer data to drive informed business decisions.
- Flexibility to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Startup and AI-related work experience is a plus.

Location
Bay Area is preferred. This role will require travels to the Seoul HQ office and also to customers’ sites.
