Looking for attorneys with 5+ years of experience(preferred) to handle appearances in all California Counties – State, Federal, Bankruptcy, Immigration, Workers Comp – Civil and Criminal and depositions.In particular looking for Criminal Defense attorneys for all Humboldt courts, and all surrounding Courts.Specify which court you are willing to make appearances in under the contract terms. Ple...ase specify by County(all) or by court locations. This is a contract by contract appearance assignment, with independent contractor status. Must have a reliable vehicle and smartphone capable of receiving and sending emails with attachments.Criteria for this position is you must be professional, have courtroom experience, be able to think on your feet, punctual, and dependable. We will be paying a flat fee to you twice per week, upon completion of the appearance duties by online payment. No reimbursement for parking, travel time, or other expenses. All flat fee appearances should be quick and allow you to control how many assignments you accept with prompt and fast same-day payment to you. We take all the risk of collecting fees and you have been paid. There are some hourly assignments on an appearance by appearance basis.Must provide a valid CA Bar Card and Driver’s License upon acceptance onto panel. Must have a professional appearance, and understand the ability to multi-task while waiting in court to maximize your efficiency Please understand this is an independent contractor assignment and we must obtain all the necessary information required from you for this purpose. Please do not apply if any of the above does not meet your understanding and approval.Email your resume or brief background document(indicating length of practice, areas of expertise, etc.) along with a brief cover letter indicating the courts and/or geographic area you would accept assignments as well as the type of cases you are experienced to handle(civil, criminal, Bankruptcy, Federal, Immigration, and/or workers compensation). For Federal and Bankruptcy Courts, inform us which jurisdictions you can practice before.
