JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Supervisor is a rotating position that performs supervisor duties and basic job duties in the different functional areas of hotel operations. This position ensures staff is prepared to provide excellence to our guests and visitors at all times, and ensures efficient and effective operations. The Operations Supervisor actively promotes the Ayres culture of caring.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values and Mission Statement.
• Lead by example.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Adhere to EEO (anti-harassment policy)
• Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest and team member encounters.
• Knowledge, and understanding of hotel policies and procedures for all positions, such as but not limited to guest service, F&B (kitchen and dining room), housekeeping, maintenance and sales administration.
• Performs the basic functions of a manager on duty in the absence of management and/or while working together under the guidance and supervision of the hotel general manager and department managers.
• Performs the basic essential job duties of all hotel positions, such as but not limited to guest service, F&B (kitchen and dining room), housekeeping, maintenance and sales administration, as needed.
• Works closely with the hotel management team, corporate Human Resources and communicates effectively.
• Maintain guest and team member confidentiality at all times.
• Protect Company assets. Maintain cash safe, master keys and other valuables secured.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

The Company adheres to all applicable wage and hour laws, including meal periods, rest periods and overtime. As a department manager, you are responsible for being familiar with these policies and for adhering to them at all times. You are also responsible for assuring the those you supervise also understand and adhere to these Company’s policies. You must immediately document and report any violations.
