Barnsley Shared Lives is a family based model of support where Shared Lives carers open up their own home and family life to support vulnerable adults and young people.
The service is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
We are looking to recruit carers in the Barnsley area who can provide care, support and accommodation. This support could be either on a full time or respite basis, day care or sessional, supporting individuals to live a full and meaningful life with you and your family.
Shared Lives carers would require experience in care, either in a professional or personal capacity, can be flexible and have a person centred approach.
Shared Lives Carers are highly trained and receive regular support from the Shared Lives team. Shared Lives Cares are self-employed and paid an allowance for the support they provide.
