Forklift Technician
Job Summary: Join DHL as a Forklift Technician and ensure the proper maintenance and operation of our forklift equipment. You will play a key role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Forklift Technician Key Responsibilities:
• Operate forklifts and other power equipment to load, unload, move, and stage products and materials during 80% of scheduled shifts.
• Prepare and verify products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in type and quantity.
• Maintain thorough records and reports to ensure inventory precision.
• Adhere to OSHA and MSDS standards for safety and compliance.
• Verify load integrity by checking count, stability, and product condition, promptly reporting discrepancies.
• Monitor and replace equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed, ensuring continuous operational capability.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and materials within the facility.
• Assist with physical inventories as required.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure functionality.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Forklift Technician Requirements:
• Forklift operator certificate or completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of warehouse experience.
• Minimum six months of forklift operation experience.
• Proficiency in following work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to comprehend and adhere to directions and instructions.
• Familiarity with warehouse management system equipment.
• Must possess attention to detail and be a collaborative team member
