Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a safety-first culture in the Transportation department to ensure the well-being of all associates and the public
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching, training, and performance management
• Supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates, driving engagement and retention
• Manage schedules, anticipate and troubleshoot delivery problems, and ensure adherence to DOT regulations
• Conduct routine Safety and Driver Meetings, and oversee driver qualification files
• Investigate accidents, maintain an accident file, and implement preventative action
Requirements:
• Minimum of three years experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution
• Minimum of one year experience overseeing a workforce
• Strong understanding of DOT requirements, inventory control, and regulatory compliance
• Basic computer skills and ability to interpret financial and operational data
