Family Services of Westchester, Inc. (FSW) provides mental health and social services that strengthen and support families, children and individuals at every stage of their lives. Serving 30,000 people a year, including 20,000 children, with nearly 50 innovative programs, including counseling, education and support, FSW is a pillar of health in the Westchester community. Our services are run by our compassionate, highly trained staff of more than 450 professionals and paraprofessionals includes Master’s level social workers, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, child care workers, nurses, certified home health aides, multilingual clinicians, peer counselors and early childhood educators.
FSW’s Family Preservation Step Down program is a preventive service offered by Family Services of Westchester and funded by the Westchester County Department of Social Services. The program offers short-term, family-focused services designed to assist families in crisis by improving parenting and family functioning, while keeping children safe.
Job Details:
Family Services of Westchester is seeking a full-time Family Preservation Caseworker to serve Westchester County families and report to the Program Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
• Implement crisis intervention to families with children at risk of foster care placement
• Coordinate in-home, intensive parenting skill-based program for family in crisis
• Weekly submission of progress notes in Connections system, other case reporting, monthly statistics
• Ongoing risk assessment, case management
• Advocacy, referral/linkages in client's community
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, Bachelor of Social Work preferred
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle is required
• MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
