JOB SUMMARY:
Work closely with Ancillary Manager in support of Enhancement and company goals, through effective project and employee management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
• High School Diploma, GED
Experience
• At least 5 years related work experience
License or Certification
• As required by state and federal law
• Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
• Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) preferred
Specialized Skills
• Have experience installing irrigation, retaining walls, drainage systems, hardscapes, plants, soil, sod and mulch
• Have experience using tractors, track hoes, skid steers, trenchers,
• backhoes, dump trucks and loaders
• Understand fertilization basics for both turf and plants
• Working knowledge of herbicide applications and relevant practices
• General understanding of annuals installation
• Ability to read landscape plans, irrigation plans, grading plans and municipal plans
• Strong customer service
• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment and tools
• Organizational and time management skills necessary to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Work schedule flexibility
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule format
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to speak effectively before employees and have productive interactions with customers
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, including ability to read, interpret and translate documents and verbal presentations
• Basic math-for cubic yards, square feet and basic geometry
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

• Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Frequently exposed to loud noise levels
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Instruct Enhancements crews in horticultural, equipment, construction and safety procedures
• Schedule and assign daily tasks to Enhancement Foremen and ensure completion
• Review and approve employee timecards/job costs on a regular basis, for accurate and timely submission to payroll
• Estimate and bid simple projects such as clean-ups and mulching
• Provide information and recommendations for construction and renovation bids and proposals (including labor hours, equipment and material requirements) for final approval
• Encourage and maintain safe working conditions by promoting Company’s “Culture of Safety”, including but not limited to conducting bi-weekly safety tailgate meetings; ensuring proper personal protective equipment usage; correct equipment tie down techniques in vehicles; Road Side Work Zone Safety, and truck weight restrictions
• Enforce proper use, care and storage of company inventory, including vehicles, equipment, tools and rental equipment
• Understand and execute methods needed to meet or exceed job and labor budget and margin goals
• Assess equipment operation issues and effectively communicate repair needs to shop personnel
• Effectively assess labor needs and execute labor plan by hiring or terminating employees as needed while keeping Ancillary Manager abreast of labor changes
• Regularly conduct or provide training for new and existing employees utilizing multiple training resources such as SOP’s, online training sessions, or coordinating group training
• Assess skill level, quality of work, work behavior and general performance of employees and provide recommendations to Ancillary Manager regarding professional development, performance evaluation and promotional opportunities
• Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, labor hour management, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring availability of resources
• Problem resolution
• Responsible for creating prompt and thorough documentation of all coaching, conversations and performance management discussions with employees
• Demonstrate and/or perform Enhancement tasks
• Schedule plant procurement, materials/equipment acquisition and rentals and subcontractor.
• Develop and maintain contact with clients, evaluating concerns and taking action as needed while keeping Ancillary Manager abreast of client needs or requests
• Provide translation for employees as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: $60,000 - $70,000
