What do we do?

Here at PPM, we carry out a variety of maintenance and construction work across our PPM divisions. We provide services for social housing clients as well as private clients. Our work ranges from general maintenance, installing safety features and aid adaptions, full refurbishments on residential properties to complete construction of commercial buildings.

What does this role entail?

The key responsibilities include**:
• Surveying sites where electrical systems are installed
• Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings
• Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
• Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job
• Identifying electrical problems and repairing them
• Advising the company’s management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards
• Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment

What experience is needed for this role?

The key experience required is:
• Up to date qualifications relevant to your trade, electrician
• Previous skills and experience in multiple trades advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent customer service skills
• Works well under pressure

What are PPM's Terms & Conditions**?
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm
• Workplace Pension Contributions - 5% Employee and 3% Employer*
• This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory.
