Registered Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

Who You Are:
If you are an experienced RVT or Senior Veterinary Assistant who is looking to take the next step in your career, we want to meet you! The ideal candidate:

1. State RVT license preferred, but not required
2. Previous Specialty experience preferred
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Passion for helping people and their pets

About the role:

1. The role involves a variety of responsibilities including radiology, anesthesia monitoring, physical examinations, laboratory work, pharmacy duties, patient recovery, and providing compassionate care to hospitalized patients.
2. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
3. Day shift, Tuesday-Friday
4. Compensation is based on skillset and education, ranging from $26 to $40 per hour. We offer shift differentials for swing and overnight.

Basic Required Qualifications:

1. High school diploma
2. 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
3. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
4. Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations
5. Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit
