Description
Responsibilities:
- Detailed review of work prepared by international accounting consultants, including payment runs, expense reports, payroll, annual leave accruals, and related journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting packages
- Determine monthly funding of international entities based on analysis of subsidiary spending trends
- Manage statutory audits, tax filings including VAT/GST returns, and other regulatory filings and surveys
- Review inter-company invoicing, inter-company reconciliations, and consolidation and foreign currency re-measurement entries
- Coordinate with outside accounting firm on transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies
- Develop and maintain processes and internal controls for international financial operations, ensuring adherence to local regulations, while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders in the setup of new legal entities and international operations
- Participate in special projects, analysis and ad-hoc tasks as required by management
- This role reports to the Corporate Controller
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years of international accounting experience
- Public accounting experience and CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Experience with multi-book accounting in NetSuite OneWorld and proficiency with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills
- Experience with analyzing and mitigating foreign exchange risk preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and flexibility in working with third parties across geographic regions
- A commitment to process improvement and scalability
