The VP Solutions Architecture NA leads a team of Solution Architects (SOLAR) covering North America (NA). Solution Architects collaborate closely with the Sales & Operations resources across NA to build value propositions for EVS customers in the broadcast industry for their production of global live sporting, news, and entertainment events.

The VP Solutions Architecture NA role, reporting to the SVP NA, also represents the NA region within our Global SOLAR team, reporting to the SVP SOLAR to help define best practices globally and to train and implement them within the NA region. This role transfers industry, technical, and product knowledge to customers via excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. The VP Solutions Architecture NA will set the example for the customer engagement process in the region, leading by example and working alongside the sales team to build long-lasting relationships.

Job Description

  • Manage all SOLAR activity within the region, including bid responses, product demonstrations, maintenance of demo systems, etc., ensuring opportunity deadlines are respected and accountable for the coordination of the SOLAR team’s deliverables.
  • Compose solutions based on the existing EVS portfolio that fit customer requirements and minimize delivery risk.
  • Demonstrate strong technical sales expertise by building trust as a technical advisor to multiple stakeholders within the client's organization (from engineering to CTO).
  • Organize and manage demos and workflow discussions, ensuring they effectively showcase the value of our solutions.
  • Act as the regional point of contact for the sales team in all pre-sales matters, proactively cultivating customer and partner relationships.
  • Oversee major opportunities, engaging the correct internal stakeholders to ensure success.
  • Provide excellent feedback to internal stakeholders about market trends and requirements.

Profile

  • Bachelor of Computer Science (or Engineering) / master preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the broadcast industry as Pre-Sales/Solution Architect, with experience leading a team

Technical skills :

  • High familiarity with live production, asset management, and networked media technologies; strong knowledge of EVS products and solutions is a strong plus.
  • Good knowledge of industry trends, customers, and the competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in relevant technical and sales tools, such as CRM software, technical design tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Results-driven, with a strong focus on achieving goals and driving business growth.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with strong leadership capabilities to inspire, lead, and coach the team.
  • Attention to detail, providing critical observation, and not being afraid to ask questions to confirm the gaps and assumptions are understood. 
  • Exellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audience.
  • Able to manage themself under pressure,  demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Good communicator, at ease with clients, and a team player.
  • Flexible and willing to travel.

Languages :

  • Knowledge of other languages is an asset
