About this Position

The Insurance Regulatory Attorney position is an in-house role that provides insurance-related legal advice and guidance to Primerica Life Insurance Company. The Insurance Regulatory Attorney will serve as a leader within the Insurance Business Counsel team and provide legal advice to senior management. Responsibilities include organizing and managing direct reports, collaborating with team members, and providing guidance based on knowledge and experience.

The attorney will support various departments by providing state and federal statutory and regulatory guidance specific to insurance and financial services. Staying current on legal and regulatory developments and guiding the business on implementation of changes is also essential.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, including experience supervising others and working with legal and business teams.
  • Strong communication, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to identify, interpret, and apply new statutes, regulations, and directives.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor Degree.
  • Member of any state bar association.
  • Seven or more years of life or insurance experience.
  • Understanding of life insurance and agent licensing laws preferred.
  • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
