The City of Jersey City is seeking a highly motivated Architectural Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from urban developments to historical restorations. Collaborate with architects and other team members to assist in the development of architectural plans and designs for various projects.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information and assess potential design options.
Use software and other tools to create detailed 2D and 3D renderings and models.
Research and analyze building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant requirements to ensure compliance with city guidelines.
Prepare and present design proposals, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist in the coordination and management of project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Participate in design meetings and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Conduct research on current trends and best practices in architecture and design to contribute new ideas and solutions.
Review and provide feedback on design documents and drawings from other team members.
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the design process.
Collaborate with contractors and other professionals to ensure successful implementation of designs.
Keep updated records and documentation of project progress and changes.
Adhere to all safety and building codes and regulations.
Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of architecture and design.
Contribute to the overall success and positive impact of the city's architectural landscape through innovative and thoughtful design solutions.
