Job Description

King and Moffatt Building Services Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager / Director to lead our IT department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and reliability of our systems, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of network infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and application support.

What you would do:
Network Management:
• Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Manage on-premise and cloud networks, ensuring seamless integration and security.
• Configure and maintain TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, IPsec, Firewalls and other network protocols.
• Manage Azure AD and Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
• Build and maintain virtual servers and serverless databases in Azure.
• Ensure compliance with cloud security policies and backup procedures.
Cybersecurity:
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect company data.
• Monitor suspicious activities, and conduct regular security audits.
• Create custom scripts to enhance security measures and automate responses to cyber threats.
Systems Administration:
• Manage Windows operating systems, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and secure.
• Oversee the implementation of software updates, patches, and configurations.
• Support Office 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
Application Support:
• Support business-critical applications such as Business Central, Mitrefinch HRM, and Hik Central.
• Automate and integrate core and sub-systems and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions across all applications.
Project Management:
• Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand and fulfill their IT needs.
• Develop and implement new IT policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Team Leadership and Training:
• Supervise and mentor a team of IT support professionals.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address any issues promptly.
Customer Support:
• Provide technical support to internal clients.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in IT management or experience in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure, both on-prem and in the cloud.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, SSL/TLS, IPsec, and other network protocols.
• Experience with Azure AD, Power Shell, Microsoft Intune, and SharePoint.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Previous leadership and team management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, Postgre

SQL.
